HAPPY WOMEN IN TRANSLATION MONTH!

My recent book post for August.
Launch Something! is a sci-fi novel written by the award-winning South-Korean author; Bae Myung-Hoon and translated by Stella Kim.
Plot (from the publisher) “Earth is experiencing a sweltering heatwave caused by a second “sun” – a shining object in the sky that either looks like Pac-Man or a pizza missing a slice, depending on who you ask. As this object increases in size and risks making Earth uninhabitable, the Korean government decides it has to do its part and help the US-led Allied Space Force. Launch Something! is a sci-fi novel about a Korean Space Force that contains his quirky brand of political satire. “
If you like science fiction, Korean literature and you don’t mind a little bit of spice in the name of political satire then you are definitely in for a treat.
Getting published in October 2022, by the rising indie publishing company Honford Star.
If you can’t wait until October there is another book by the same author at Honford Star called; Tower. A good way to get to know the author before Launch Something! comes out.
I’m so excited about this book, it came just at the right time when I was feeling a bit down about everything.
I would like to thank Haricha Abdaal and Honford Star for my stunning copy.
Keep your eyes peeled for more upcoming book reviews, short stories, book posts, and many more.
